Beatific means blissfully happy or joyous and is often used to describe one’s smile, i.e. “a beatific smile.”. I like the word beatific and growing up going to church I heard it used to describe saints quite a lot. My favorite statues and images of saints are those that have a gentle, blissful, beatific expression on their faces. Church aside, I also like to see beatific smiles on people’s faces as well as on my own. Smiling is such a wonderful thing and while I do despise it when women are told to smile more (seriously?!), I do enjoy smiling and do so quite often just because.
True bliss shows it’s self in so many ways, one of which is a beatific smile that lights up your whole face!
Beatific is a joyful word and there can never be too many joyful words in the world!
