Reverie is a state of absent-minded, abstracted daydreaming or musing. Reverie derives from the Old French resverie (revelry) which derives from resver and rever (to wander, be delirious, to rave).
Reverie is an absolutely lovely word. To fall into reverie is to be lost in a dreamy, pleasant, fanciful thoughtscape. Reverie takes daydreaming to a much more luscious level, one that is all balmy, rich, detailed imagining. To be in reverie is to be in a space where you can begin to realize your desires since it is the first step in active manifestation.
Deep in a floral reverie/ imagining all I dare to dream/ becoming real, my everyday/ Escape to a better tomorrow today/ Ah yes, my floral reverie… Ella Patrice
Reverie is an absolute favorite word of mine and one I use almost on the daily since I have a cultivated a delicious habit of slipping into reverie as a way to keep my goals and dreams fresh in my mind. How often do you find yourself in reverie?
Namaste ~ Ella
