Word Nerd: Nacarat

Word Nerd Header Apr 2016 via LaWhimsynacarat definition Word Nerd via LaWhimsyNacarat is a red-orange color, sometimes pale, sometimes bright, sometimes both (things can be both pale and bright!). Nacarat can also refer to fabric that is dyed such a shade. Nacarat is the burning color of a sunset and the pale, flaming shades the sky dims to as night closes in. Autumn leaves, ripening pumpkins and gourds, some poppies and other flowers have nacarat tones to them.

Nacarat joins amaranthine , jacinthe, roseate, and ultramarine for delightful words that describe equally wonderful colors!
