Sanguine feels like such an apt and decidedly needed word right now. Despite all of the chaos, the disappointment, the unsettling upset that is pervading so many, there is the ability to have a certain sort of sanguine mindset. To be sanguine, or optimistically hopeful in an apparently terrible and difficult situation is exactly what we must choose to be. How else can we help to create a positive, bright future? By banding together with a sanguine hope we can still be the change we all want to see -The kind of change that no bigotry, no ignorance, no misogyny, no bullying can create nor can it stop. That is my sanguine mindset amidst this utter nonsensical claptrap. I choose to remain hopeful that good can still come and that our dawn is still on the horizon (albeit a little further, say 4 years or so, away).
Gentle souls seeking out refuge / your sanguine hearts longing for calm / Sing out your longing / let the world hear your song. / Together we’ll stand / together we’ll band / bringing forth harmony to the chaos filled lands. / No bully can stop us / our truth shall will out / Unity among us / with our hearts we will shout. ~ Ella
