Bonhomie (pronounced bon-uh-mee) means having a cheerful, friendly nature. Bonhomie is an English word that is borrowed from the French word bonhomme (good-natured man) which is a combination of the words bon (good) and homme (man). To be known for your bonhomie means you are a cheerful, happy, friendly sort of person.
Friendliness comes in all forms, and bonhomie is an exuberant, cheerful, easy sort of friendliness that can fill a room with it’s delightful, contagious charms!
I am extremely fond of the word bonhomie since I find it tends to describe a faucet of my nature quite nicely! What do you think of bonhomie?
