Word Nerd: Sirenize

Word Nerd Header Apr 2016 via LaWhimsysirenize definition Word Nerd via LaWhimsySirenize means bewitching or alluring, especially by song. Sirenize is derived from the word siren (Greek temptress) and the verb-forming suffix -ize (to render, make).

Sirenize is quite a unique word that means using the enticements of a siren. When one sirenizes, they fascinate, captivate, and charm, usually to devastating or destructive results. Sirens, after all, are rather dangerous Greek creatures that lure sailors to their untimely deaths.
