Gracious may seem like a simple word to choose, yet I feel as though it is a word that holds even more meaning in this day and age then ever before. Graciousness in the face of hatred, ignorance, intolerance, bigotry, and out-right, blatant bullying is difficult. Yet, it is the only way to not drop down to those same lowly, negative levels. To be gracious right now is to stand tall and strong by those who are being persecuted simply for existing. Graciousness right now means opening your heart, mind, and arms with kindness and by not responding to all of the hate with more hate. To be gracious means to be actively compassionate, to actively take a positive part in your life and in others. Hate will not fix hate. Ignorance will not educate ignorance. Evil will not produce goodness.
As I said and will continue to say, Hope always wins out, and even in the darkest of times. Be a gracious light and shine forth.
Namaste ~ Ella
