Feuillemort is an incredibly beautiful and rather old word that means having the color of a faded leaf. Feuillemort derives from the French term feuille morte (a dead leaf) and on this, the Autumnal Equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere, I think it’s a most apt term. Autumn is the season for feuillemort delights, dancing in their crackling, fiery glory. As this season grows cooler and cozier, the feuillemort colors shall truly take hold!
Feuillemort is such a perfect Autumn word and as a bonus I’ve rounded up a few more that I think fit the season quite nicely (and work marvelously for poetry!) ~
May this new season of harvest, hope and promise be a true delight for you!
Namaste ~ Ella
