Natty is an informal adjective that comes from 18th century English, thought perhaps to be a play on the word neat. To be natty means one is fashionably put together, or stylishly and tidy in their appearance. It goes along with the terms dapper and dandy and I think natty is simply terrific! Natty has also taken on a second meaning since when I looked it up the term “Natural Light Beer” kept being attached to it which is hilarious and awesome, in my opinion!
Seriously, if this image isn’t the epitome of Natty, then I simply don’t know what is!
I am totally working natty into my everyday vocabulary since it’s such a grand word – how about you? Are you feeling natty?
