Monday Mantra 49

I felt it only right to share one of my favorite quotes from the remarkable Leonard Nimoy (right after Live Long and Prosper, naturally). The thing about this quote is that it rings so utterly and completely true – The miracle is this: the more we share the more we have. Human nature is such that to become rich in spirit, in soul, we must be open and share of ourselves. By doing this, we gain a wealth of love, knowledge, compassion, and so much else. Yes, there are times when you can share and end up feeling depleted, and smaller, left with less than what you started with, however, even this can become a wealth of sorts, since it can provide a lesson learned about where and how you share yourself. It can show you how you can be open and welcoming, but not give so completely of yourself that you lose yourself in the process. It can be rough, and painful, but it’s an extreme and not the norm, not matter how much it may seem so at the time. In reality, the miracle does come into play and you do gain more the more you share. Life is all about the passion, the community, the bonds of friendship, family, and kinship that you develop and nurture. Wealth measure in moments, magic, laughter, and love.
