Ah, such felicity is at hand, now that another year has dawned. So many fresh new opportunities to seek, friends to meet, adventures to go on, treasures to discover, joys to explore…it’s amazing!
I’m quite fond of a few of the Urban Dictionary’s definitions of felicity, since they sum to mean a confidant, passionate, talented, witty, gorgeous – inside and out – girl who may not realize just how amazing she can come across to others, and yet she is perfectly and delightfully one with herself and comfortable in her own skin. I long to be a felicity, a quaintrelle, an inamorata – not because I want to be desired by many (though I suppose wouldn’t complain too loudly if I was, *wink*) but because I want to know and be fully and completely myself. That, my dears, is where the power of each of those truly lies – in owning and being true to your entire self: flaws, quirks, talents, joys, sorrows, good, bad, ugly – everything!
