Here it is, a few days into 2014 and I’m in something of a comfortable,post-holiday haze. The days keep slipping my mind (seriously, I’ve had to remind myself more then once just what day of the week it is) and while I can feel the fresh, newness of 2014 all around me, I have yet to actually get going. My official start to the new year and to an actual, functional and goal-oriented schedule shall be on Monday and until then, I have been simply enjoying the ebb and flow of each day. I’ve been indulging in baths, catching up on my magazines, chilling out with the pups and kitties, organizing a few things around the house and going on a girl’s day out (I really, really love to shop – just because, even if I don’t actually buy anything. It’s fun, especially with the right kind of company!)

All of this has been blissful and a gentle way to begin a new year and even if the weather outside has been frightfully cold, I’ve been warm inside and in spirit!
I mean, what can I say – Toasty toes lead to warm souls – pun so totally intended!
