“Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.” – John Milton
This week’s Word Nerd is a bit different because instead of a unique, zany or off-the-wall word I am focusing simply on gratitude. It’s a word that is easily recognized and readily used. One that can be breezily tossed off or have such a deep connotation that no words are able to convey it’s meaning. Gratitude is a way of living, a way of thinking and a way of being and it’s something I feel that we all could use more of in every aspect of our lives. Whether it’s toward others, the World we inhabit or even toward ourselves, we should all take the time to express gratitude whenever we feel it – and what better time of year to start than right now (Thanksgiving is an everyday holiday don’t ya know!).
“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Thank You all who take the time to read, share and just enjoy my blog and it’s whimsical musings. I hope that your day is filled with wonder, joy, laughter, love and, yes, gratitude!
Namaste ~ Ella
