Go easy on yourself, for you are only human…
“Sometimes it’s okay if the only thing you did today was breathe.”
The grind culture needs to take a giant step back and take all of the seats because there is not one of us here who needs to be grinding day in and day out. That is impossible for any functional length of time. Sure, certain times may call for a lot of effort, but those should be the exception, not the rule.
You are allowed to be tired. To be cranky. To be tired, quiet, still. To simply just be. It’s part of being human, of being alive.
Some times you kill it, are on top of everything, and are feeling as amazing as can be. And that is awesome! Other times are just terrible and it feels as though nothing gets done, your accomplishments are nonexistent , and everything is awry and not one thing is going as it should. And that sucks.
It’s during those kinds of times that you need to remind yourself that it’s okay if all you did, all you managed, was to breathe, because you know what? That means that you’re still alive, you are still you, and so you’ll get back to doing and accomplishing and being your awesome, badass self again. Oh, and on your terms and a pace fitting for you.
Maybe it’ll be tomorrow, or the next week or even next month. Who knows? The important thing is knowing that You Will.
This life is all yours to make of, and do with it, what you will. If some days are spent just breathing know that it’s okay and perfectly, wonderfully permissible. So just breathe and relax into your bones.
