“The leaves are changing; I feel poetry in the air.” ~ Laura Jaworski
And so the cycle rounds again, like clockwork, in a circle, a continuous pattern…
“The leaves are changing; I feel poetry in the air.“
The seasonal shift is upon us once more as the cycle of nature continues it’s yearly turns, sliding and switching and transitioning. Nothing stays the same for long, yet there is still a familiarity of pattern that provides a certain reassurance.
It’s Autumn (or Spring in the Southern Hemisphere) and it’s the same, yet utterly and completely new and different at the same time. This year in particular has a strange energy to it. One that at times feels almost strangling in it’s compilation of fear, worry, illness, smoke, upset and utter confusion.
It’s been rough – and that’s an understatement.
Yet, somewhere in-between the outer chaos and the inner turmoil it can fuel, there lies a sense of hope, a sense of knowing. Knowing that even if it’s dark right now, dawn and light are arriving. That even if things seem to get worse, there will be a break, a cracking that will allow the goodness to flow in abundance once more. It’s all right there, just waiting for us to keep reaching, knowing we will reach it. We will break free from this and raw and sore and aching, we will forge anew in the glow of light and love.
With this new season we need to take time to pause and create ways to refresh ourselves and replenish our inner resources. While they are limitless in so many ways, they do need fuel and rest and encouragement to keep up and we deserve, nay we need, to do what we can to nurture ourselves continuously.
My greatest wish is that this Autumn may be one of healing. May it be a season of soul healing and inner work, the kind that is at times difficult and soothing, heart-wrenching and divine. The kind of pressure that is building around the world and within ourselves is the kind the kind that creates diamonds and forges change beyond belief.
We are not only capable of healing ourselves, we are capable of healing a broken world. By turning inward, we find the ability to rise up with a power that reaches beyond the scope of time and space. Many have done this before now and will after, so why not us here and now?
If the dark night of the soul comes just before revelation, then may this Autumn bring us the clarity of revelation that is needed for our own healing so that we may then bring the healing outside of us in turn. We are here for a reason and that reason is not hate nor ugly rage. It is a reason born of love and unity and true equality within ourselves and without.
May this Autumn bring you clarity. May it cleanse your inner space. May it bring you waves of joy and may it reignite your flames to light the way to change and peace.
Namaste ~ Ella
