Monday Mantra 114 – The world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before

The world always seems brighter when you've just made something that wasn't there before. Neil Gaiman quote Monday Mantra 114 via LaWhimsy“The world always seems brighter when you’ve just made something that wasn’t there before.”~ Neil Gaiman

Being creative is very much like being magic, since you have the ability to make things that weren’t there before. Whether it be a poem, a painting, a sculpture, a sound – when you create it, you put something out into the world that wasn’t there before you made it. Your unique imprint, viewpoint, mind, and abilities combine and take what was essentially nothing – be it a blank page, a piece of fabric, a silent instrument – and make it into something with substance and life. It’s a wondrous, delightful, magical gift, a gift we are all born with. Some are more comfortable with their gifts, others need a bit more practice, but we each of us have it. The gift of creativity. Of sharing our voice, our minds, our souls. Of an ability to make the world a brighter place by making things that weren’t there before. How are you taping into yours?
