malodorous-definition-word-nerd-via-lawhimsyMalodorous, what a lovely sounding word to describe something so very disgusting! While I doubt very highly that few would rather be referred to as malodorous then stinky, it is a terrific word to use instead of the more mundane smelly or gross smelling, now isn’t it?!

Malodorous Word Nerd Even old Manuscripts showcased malodorous issues!

Seriously, malodorous is such a hilarious word since it truly does read, sound and look so lovely and yet it’s such a horrid thing. I was reminded of the word when I was reading “The Crimson Petal and the White” and the phrase “Are malodorous feet your Achilles heel?” was used (seriously, it was a terrible turn of phrase and rightfully mocked) and have been utilizing whenever I can since (and that was several years ago now).

I mean, really?!!??

Stay fresh and non-malodorous darlings!
