Spirituelle, now here is a word that I think goes hand-in-hand quite nicely with a quaintrelle spirit, don’t you? When one embraces a quaintrelle lifestyle, one naturally becomes something of a spirituelle. Of course, that doesn’t mean that one must always be refined (I, for one, openly admit to having the sense of humor of a 12-year old boy at times…what? Life can be hilariously, inappropriately funny!), but there is a certain element of sprightly, graceful wittiness that clings to one like a lovely, long-used, redolent scent.
“She was positively bewitching, and, withal, sweetly spirituelle, if not saintly.” – Jack London, The Sea Wolf
You just know Ottilie Ethel Leopoldine “Tilly” Losch, Countess of Carnarvon had a wicked sort of spirituelle energy about her (I mean that name alone!) and though she might look rather mysterious here, I bet she has a bright smile, a hearty laugh and a quaintrelle outlook on life!
Here’s to fully embracing and bringing out our inner spirituelle’s!
Namaste ~ Ella
