What a lovely bit of pure wisdom and truth – “In the end only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.”. Of course, it’s implied that it’s not really the end when these three truths matter – it’s right now. Life is messy and complex, challenging and tumultuous, and yet it always comes down to how you love, how you weather the storms, and how you let everything that is not meant for you go. It’s such an easy lesson to hear and read, to share and speak, and yet it can be quite difficult to actually put into action. It can seem impossible at times to let love lead your motions, to remember to treat yourself with gentle kindness, to resist the urge to cling tightly to that which is no longer or not even, yours. To stay grounded in your truth and to breathe through the rest. So many of our struggles are self-perpetuated and if we could remember these three simple truths, we could ease our struggles, learn our lessons, and move forward into the more loving, welcoming aspects of life.
