Monday Mantra 113 – Beauty exists not in what is seen and remembered, but in what is felt and never forgotten

Beauty exists not in what is seen and remembered, but in what is felt and never forgotten Johnathan Jena quote Monday Mantra 113 via Lawhimsy“Beauty exists not in what is seen and remembered, but in what is felt and never forgotten.”~ Johnathan Jena

Memories exist so that those who came before, who paved the way that makes today possible, are remembered. It is one of the responsibilities of the living to keep those who came before from fading away. History is our heritage, the good, the bad, the glorious, the vile – all of it. And it’s our job to remember, to give thanks to those who sacrificed, who created, who bore the brunt of their time and strove to make it even the slightest bit better for those who came next. Just as we strive to make our mark, to make that difference that will leave this World a better place for those who come after us. It is easy to remember the extremes, but it is just as important that we also remember the little actions and the individuals who simply by living and doing what was right by them made differences too. Johnathan Jena is so right, “Beauty exists not in what is seen and remembered, but what is felt and never forgotten.” – so feel the history of your past, of your kin and country and never forget all the good that rose above the bad. That’s where the beauty lies and that’s where the hope for tomorrow takes root.
