Hope is all around us if we choose to seek it…

This is such a lovely poem and one I often turn to in times of duress and stress. It’s cadence soothes just as much as the words themselves as they gently remind me that hope is always near, always ready to be seen and felt.
The current times we live in certainly define chaos in ever rapidly changing ways, and yet, even as so much threatens, there is also so much that can soothe and give ease. It’s all in how you choose to seek it out, or not.
As the wonderful Mister Rogers once said when bad things happen “look for the helpers” – it’s in you, it’s in me, it’s in our neighbors, in friends, and strangers. Hope is there, waiting to shine a light in the darkest of times and places.
Not all bad times last forever, and even within them there will always be those glimmers of hope, of laughter and of love.
Do your part to soothe yourself, to help make change (go and VOTE if you’re in the U.S.!) and to find hope in your days. It’s there just waiting for you as it never stops at all.
