Every single day we make a choice to want ourselves…

“​If someone does not want me, it is not the end of the world. But if I do not want me, the world is nothing but endings.“

This quote by Nayyirah Wahee simply oozes truth. I mean, in a society that places the utmost importance on being with someone, on being a couple, it can feel almost impossible to be okay just being You, on your own.

Add in feeling rejected by another in any capacity, and well, it can truly feel like the end of the world – Your world. And it suuuuuucks to feel not wanted.

However, how often are you wanted by yourself? How often do you stop and enjoy your own company, your own thoughts, feelings, wants, and desires?

The more you begin to want you, to choose you, to act for you, the more your world will be filled with beginnings.

Oh, and the more you’ll begin to realize that someone else not wanting you doesn’t mean the end of the world. It simply means that is not the way, or the person, or the opportunity for you right now. And that’s okay for you and for them.

You are awesome and lovable to not want you – I mean come on! Look at how much you’ve done in your life – You are here and you are alive and breathing and that is worth everything! You’ve got something to give, you’ve got kindness to share and love to spread.

By starting with yourself and actively choosing to want yourself, you will create a world filled with beginnings. You can start small by simply choosing to be kind to yourself. Celebrate all the little things you do each day. Lift yourself up and keep on choosing you – even when others may reject you. If you always want you, then that means you are always wanted.

The more you do this, the more you want you, the more you’ll begin to attract those who want you too. It may take time to find your people, but they are out there and you will find each other.

Choose yourself and let your world overflow with possibilities and beginnings. You are so wonderful and I am so excited for you and all you are capable of!!!
