You and I have something quite extraordinary in common and do you know what that is? We both have worth…
“Know your worth and never settle for less than you deserve.”
Know your worth. Curious and startling isn’t it, to think about and own your own worth. It’s probably a lot more than you might even think it is right off the bat – so many of us tend to underestimate our own value and merits. But get this, you have a fantastic amount of worth and so do I!
It took years for me to fully realize my worth and even longer to stop settling for less than I deserve. I can still have moments, but on the whole I embrace my entire worth and I do not spend my time with anything that makes me feel less than. Why would I want to settle for anything less than what I deserve? I know that I am worthy of respect. That I deserve to be treated as an equal human being by everyone I meet. If I find myself being treated in a way that does not jive with my being, I will not simply settle and make do. Instead I will make my worth known elsewhere. My time and my life are too precious to be spent otherwise – and yours is too!
Settling only leads to dissatisfaction and you are worth so much better than that! You have worth and if you acknowledge that worth and foster the self-love and respect you deserve, then you will bloom. If you choose instead to settle, for whatever reasons, you are denying your self-worth and being so unfair to yourself. If you love someone don’t you want the very best for them and wouldn’t it hurt to see them settle for less than they deserve? Well, don’t do it to yourself! Don’t settle for a life half lived, a potential half-strangled, for less than you, yes YOU, deserve!
