This quote is truly an affirmation of mine. I breathe it in and breathe it out as I remind myself that circumstances will be what they will be, they in themselves do not define me or who or what I am.
No, circumstances do not have that kind of power. The power lies in how I choose to react to circumstances. The power lies in my decisions, my directions, my choices and reactions to the circumstances at hand.
I can decide to do nothing, decide to focus on the negative, decide to let a situation or a person define me, decide to let a reaction dictate my worth. I can also decide to take action, decide to look at the positive, decide to define me for me, decide to let my worth come from me and only me.
Personal power is an amazing gift and all to often we simply give it away or ignore its potential.
Know that you don;t have to do that. Know that your decisions are yours and yours alone.
You are not a product of your circumstances. You are a product of your decisions. And that is a powerful gift and self-love tool that you can and should utilize on a daily basis! You’ll amaze yourself with the results – I know I have been!
