Monday Mantra 141 – We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.

We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same. Carlos Castaneda quote Monday Mantra 141 via LaWhimsyWe either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong. The amount of work is the same.” ~ Carlos Castaneda

If you really think about it, effort is effort, whether it is good or bad, positive or negative. It’s simply a truth. Since this is the case, doesn’t it make sense to put effort towards the good, towards that which makes us strong, positive, enriched and fulfilled? I think it does. I have to admit to feeling a bit rusty at the keyboard today since it feels like an age since I last wrote, however, this is a message I want to get out, that I want to spread just as I desire to live it as fully as I am capable of. I am just as capable of making myself miserable as I am of making myself strong. I can choose to put my efforts towards those things which pull me down, drain me, or make me feel small and worthless or I can choose to put those same efforts towards the things that build me up, make me feel joy, and feed my soul with love, light and delight. I am choose the latter, and though the path may be bumpy (tell me what path isn’t), it will be well worth it. Onward I go, and I hope you are going too, toward all that makes you You and whole!

Namaste ~ Ella
