Affirmation Mondays 131 – We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution

While updating the Word Nerd entry Metanoia, I came across this beautifully empowering quote by Bill Hicks and I just knew it was a perfect fit for this Monday’s Mantra. It’s always so awe-inspiring to me to realize that while so little of life and the world is in one’s control, the most important aspects truly are in our power. That we have the ability to adapt to our circumstances, for better or worse, to choose our responses to others and to situations is incredible. That we really are the facilitators of our own creative, emotional, and soul evolution, that is true power and a form of control that we all too often forget we wield. We give it away, let it run wild in a harsh, unforgiving, stunted way, or simply ignore it – and that is a saddening waste. That is where regret stems from. From making the choice to not choose ourselves and to not forge our own evolutionary path in this life. When you begin to facilitate your own destiny, listen to yourself and make your own choices, you start a metanoia for yourself and you begin to see through new eyes, with a refreshed, greatly lightened and brightened heart. Be the facilitator of your own creative and loving evolution – you’ll be amazed at what you are capable of!
