“They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.” ~ Andy Warhol
Time is something we all have. Something we can do with what we will. We can make use of it, waste it, spend it, watch it pass by. We can count it, mark it, remember it, plan it out. We can even change it – if Daylight Savings Time is anything to go by.
Time is one of those facts of life, yet it is also a very human creation and notion. We, as humans, created the clock with it’s seconds, minutes, and hours and the calendar with it’s days, months, and years.
Nature also has time, a rhythmic, reliable pattern. Daylight to darkness, marked by the rising and setting of the sun. The phase of the moon, set in a steady cycle of New to Full. The seasons, each set in their own cyclical pattern. We can count, mark the almost 28 day orbit of the moon, the days of each season from Equinox to Equinox. The minutes in each day from when the sun’s first rays begin to streak across the horizon to the last bit of light before it dips back down and out of sight.
Time is valuable, noted, marked. We always want more, yet can feel we don’t do enough with what time we do have. The real secret to time is that it truly is ours, it is in our hands to make do and make the very best of the time we have.
There is no waste if you live, and live fully. You define your own time, you make it and you can make it divine!
As Andy Warhol said, “They always say time changes things, but you actually have to change them yourself.”, so use your time to make the changes you desire, the life you crave.
Time won’t make those changes for you, but it can provide you with what you need to make those changes. Will you take advantage of it?
