Here they are, my very first art journal pages for the wonderful Get Messy adventure! It has been a bit of a whoopsie-do of a week, but I still managed to find a bit of time to create these pages (very cathartic, I might add). I’m still trying to get the posting time worked out as well (brain fog makes everything worse – especially when numbers are involved!) but I shall get it right.
This is a small journal and for my first pages I was feeling like a bit of dreamy and magical expression, since my favorite thing to do when things are a bit crazy is to day-dream (it’s almost like meditation in a sense). Soft colors, light texture and a mix of cut-up letters felt just right.
This page needed more color and a few doodles to add some flair and delight. Both pages are rather simple in their flow and design, but I feel that I achieved the effect I was going for. Creating both of these also got my creative juices flowing and I have some ideas that I am working around my head for future pages! I think this is going to be one grand adventure, indeed!
