“Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.” ~ Amit Ray
To purify your mind and soul is to free yourself from anything that debases, pollutes or contaminates it…
“Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.“
That deep burning sensation has returned. You know the one – it fills your mind up until your eyes water and your other senses feel overly sensitive. It’s usually accompanied by frustration, exhaustion, upset, headaches, body aches, overwhelm, etc. Everything feels fried and you just want it to stop but it feels like it just may never get the chance. The bad, horrible, ugliness of the news, of politics, of this disaster or that just keeps pounding away at you and the incoming flood of more just never seems to stop. It feels like you are drowning in an endless sea of bigotry, unscrupulous power mongers, hate and disgusting behaviors and it just keeps getting worse…aughhhhhhh…
You still with me? Triggering, isn’t it? This simple lay-out of what has become the daily, fear-based norm and that constant burning, aching sensation that tends to accompany it. What if I told you there is another way and a way to temper and even completely dispel that burning? A way that opens up and purifies your mind and soul and brings you back to a grounded, safe, loving home within yourself. There is and there is no gimmick to it. All it takes is you and a willingness to open up to the beauty of everything.
I know it may seem a bit far-fetched, but it’s the honest to goodness truth that “Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.”. When you choose to purify your mind, you are choosing to clear away those things that debase or pollute your being. And what better way to start that process then by looking to and noticing the beauty of the world?
There is beauty to be found anywhere and everywhere you look, the key is choosing to actively seek it out and notice it. If, for whatever reason, you don’t seem to be finding any beauty, why then you just create some yourself. Simple things, like smiling at someone, or holding a door open, or picking up a bit of litter creates beauty in world. It’s there. It’s always there. And by being aware of it and engaging with it, you are taking the first steps to purifying your mind.
With a purified mind you can create lasting, loving change. You will be working from an open, willing, healing place. A place that is humble and that is able to listen to and face the difficult and bring about what is actually needed to create even more beauty. The beauty of equality for all. The beauty of justice for all. The beauty of love and care and safety for all.
Yes, there are major problems and issues that need addressing and correcting and I am by no means trying to reduce or belittle anyone’s suffering – but by taking the time to purify your mind you are creating a strong, love-based center that can in-turn begin to enact changes that need to be made. Just as hate cannot beat hate, corruption cannot win out over corruption. Don’t let those who seem to be in-control beat you down with their fear-based rhetoric. Take the time to purify your mind and soul with all the beauty that exists and know that by adding to that, you will be adding to the betterment of the world and to the ultimate downfall of the corrupt.
Take heart, and know that you can control your input and output in this world and that by choosing to free yourself from anything that debases, pollutes or contaminates your mind, you are taking positive, uplifting steps that will purify your mind and allow the beauty and love to grow.
