Thoughts are shaped by reality and reality is shaped by thoughts. In this case, if you think you can do something or think you can’t so something, well that’s how your reality will be shaped. It’s so easy to limit yourself, prevent yourself from attempting to do something by thinking to yourself “I can’t do that.”. Maybe you feel you’ll look stupid or silly or fail if you try so you just don’t. You created that reality, that outcome by merely thinking it. If, on the other hand, you think to yourself “I can do that.”, odds are fairly good that you actually will. Why? Because you will try. You will act. You will do. Even if it turns out wrong or it takes you several attempts before you actually achieve what you were trying for, you’ll actually get there and create the reality you desire. Who really cares if you look silly, after all, if everyone is preoccupied by the worry that they will be the ones who look silly, no one will notice if you do. Instead they will probably be wishing they had tried or had the courage to just do. The thing is, the great secret, is that they do have the courage inside of them waiting to be put to use. It only takes a bit of courage to say “I can.” and then follow through. Just as excellence is a habit, so is thinking that you can. Nothing, well rarely nothing, says in absolutes that you can’t. It’s only a rather bad habit that creates that mindset and you have the power and control to change it. Try and see and prepare to be amazed at just how much you can!
