Life can be a struggle and there are times when you seem to be caught in an endless cycle of difficult troubles. These times can be self-caused, created by outside forces, or who knows what. And they just seem to keep going, getting worse with each tightening screw of the cycle. Yet, somehow, somewhere, hope, light, remain. There will always be cracks that can split the situation wide open. There will be chances, choices. Yes, it can seem inevitable that you may choose the difficult, the same old, same old, and continue the cycle of pain, struggle, darkness. Maybe it’s because it just seems easier to give in. Maybe you think you deserve to suffer, or something equally negative (I know I have been guilty of this more than I’d like to admit to.). Guess what? You don’t. No matter how hard, how difficult, how just plain awful the past, you can always, always, begin again. The thing is, you have to actively choose to do so. You have to make it happen. Yes, deciding you want better, you want different is a huge start, but it’s just a start. To keep the momentum, the change going, to make it stick, you have to act. You have to show up in your life with your new mindset and you have to keep going with it. The bad things, the difficult things will still be there, they will still exist, and you have to co-exist with them. The change comes from how you choose to do just that. It’s in how you rise above, how you deal with the low times, and how you forgive, learn, and keep moving forward. Not standing still, not going backward, but going forward. It’s worth it, even if it seems tough or impossible right now, it’s worth it. I know it is and I’ve been guided by the best, even though I’ve ignored it or not always believed it. No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again. So do just that, right here, right now. Today is the time and it’s not too late!
