“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.” ~ Norman Vincent Peale
The sun may be growing more distant and the Earth more silent and cold in it’s sleep, but there is magic still…
“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.”
The Christmas season is one of wonder, joy, magic, and just simple cozy delight. There is so much to be thankful for, so much to indulge in and celebrate and share with others. Or, at least, that’s how I like to see it.
Whether one celebrates or observes Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza, Yule, Winter Solstice, Ramadan, or Omisoka, this is a season filled with celebrations, cheer, and all sorts of reflections and reminders of goodness.
December is a month of lights, love, and inner warmth. Autumn winds down and just as the first bitter touches of Winter begin to take hold, something magical fills the very air. It a magic that’s sparked by the pure human born kindness and love that pours out and wraps it’s arms around the sleeping world (Well, sleeping in the Northern Hemisphere and wide-awake wonder in the Southern Hemisphere!).
While many may credit the spirits of the Holiday seasons, I like to think of it as a reminder of what we all of us hold inside. There is a certain something in the air that does make everything seems softer, kinder, and all the more beautiful for it. Merry, merry December!
