“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.” ~ Marcus Aurelius
How often during your days do you pause and see the beauty of life…
“Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.”
Life is filled with such wonder and so very much beauty that the soul can ache of overwhelm of it all. Each moment of life has a touch of artistry, a kernel of pure beauty to it.
Even in the ugly there is beauty to be found, though at times it is in the absence of the obvious that the beauty can be sought.
Beauty itself is a contrary, constantly evolving, ever re-defining notion. It’s as abstract as it is absolute, as unique as it is universal.
Life’s beauty is even more transcendent and undefinable than say physical beauty, which often times tends to wrongly fall into tightly defined societal acceptability. Life’s beauty is anything and everything that makes life worthwhile, that provides life it’s deepest, most spiritual and mystical meanings.
How often in your days so you pause and dwell upon life’s constant beauty? How often do you engage with the sublime that occurs all around you?
To disengage from the sheer perplexity and contradictory aspects of life means that you disengage from the beauty that life holds. Yes, life is messy and complex and uncertain and astonishing and bewildering and awesome and marvelous. That’s the sheer beauty of it!
Life is so much more than a series of day-to-day steady events that occur with mind-numbing regularity. That is merely a means to an end. You must eat and sleep and move, it’s how you pay attention and choose to engage that gives life it’s depths, it’s meanings, and it’s beauties.
By living, actually living beyond the mere surface of existence, one is choosing to be curious, to engage, to seek out the beauty in life and to expand into their full power.
Why live constrained and without the full beauty of life when you can live another way?
Yes, there will be the full gamut of emotions to experience, but there is a true beauty in that and the more you explore your own inner workings, the more the beauty grows and deepens.
Take a moment today to “Dwell on the beauty of life. Watch the stars, and see yourself running with them.” ~ You may just surprise yourself!
