The veil between worlds is thinning, the shadow realm is closer now then it is at other times of the year. Ghosts, demons, the undead, the haunted byways all seem more real, more prevalent and chills run down your spine like the leaves crackle down the street with the wind. Echos of the past seem to whisper into your memory and all seems to grow darker, colder, more brittle. ‘Tis the season of spooks, and at the same time, it’s a season of harvest, of hope, and firelight. Dracula is filled with morbid, mysterious, danger, and the strange limbo of the undead. There is also a certain light, a sense of calm amidst the foreboding. Yes, Dracula may be quite the Gothic novel, but there is still a certain hope within the love of humanity. “There are darkness in life and there are lights, and you are one of the light, the light of all lights.” Remember this and shine your own light outward in this season and all seasons. You can light up the world with your own hope and love!
