Weekday Wrap-Up

WeekDay Wrap-Up 10: Luck ‘O the Irish

Adolie Day Illustration

A day late this may be, but for very good reason – I was whisked away yesterday for a day trip as the start of my birthday celebrations. With a brief respite in here I thought I’d share a few St. Patrick’s Day inspired images (this is great too!) and poems to keep the joy going…enjoy!

Deborah Turbeville. Russian Years 1995 – 2005 (detail)

Watery mints and pale greens take me away to an Isle of dreams where the Faerie Folk dance and the Leprechauns play

Hills as green as Emeralds cover the countryside,
Lakes as blue as Sapphires are Ireland’s special pride,
And rivers that shine like silver make Ireland look so fair-
But the friendliness of her people is the richest treasure there..

Brian Froud’s Faeries and Magical Creatures

Oh Erie ~ Where the wind has a sound like a sweet song,
And anyone can hum it,
And the heather grows upon the hills
And shamrocks not far from it
.

May your blessings outnumber the Shamrocks that grow,
And may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

May the love and protection Saint Patrick can give
Be yours in abundance as long as you live.

May the luck of the Irish be always at hand and may your blessings be precious and grand!

Namaste ~ Ella
