Weekday Wrap-Up

WeekDay Wrap-Up 2: Winter White

It’s a wonderful, white world of Winter everywhere I look! The snow started yesterday afternoon and by nightfall had reached almost a foot deep in some places. I captured some of the magic with my camera (and will share this weekend, once I have a chance to edit) and spent the rest of the time quite happily curled up with a heap of pillows, all cozy and noshing on freshly popped popcorn while watching “The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall” (I adore this version of the musical best of all!). With snow on the brain, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites here (and because after spending the morning outside I’m feeling a wee bit too lazy to actually re-cap my entire week, hehe).

Vintage snowman (beg pardon, snowlady) making – how delightfully awesome!

It’s a Snow Kitty parade!

She tells her love while half asleep,
In the dark hours,
With half-words whispered low:
As Earth stirs in her winter sleep
And puts out grass and flowers
Despite the snow,
Despite the falling snow.

– Robert Graves

What a lovely piece of poetry – it simply spoke to me

This last piece is Titled “How to Disappear Completely… No. 8” and I love the ghostly, snowy imagery.

Well, there a Winter White Wrap-Up if ever I did write one! Hope you have a lovely weekend, whatever color it may be!
