Musings and Mutterings, My Creations

Oh Autumn, it seems you’ve hardly begun and yet I sense your waning spirits. Your leaves have turned from bright fire to a calmer, moldering brown/gray as they lay upon the ever-hardening ground, your skies are fading as the sun moves further away and the air is getting colder, sharper as the nights keep deepening in their way. It’s almost like it’s happening overnight and yet everything is happening just as it should. Oh, if I could I’d keep you longer but since I know that’s not to be I’ll find little ways to hold on to your fire in those still Winter days that come after the merriment of the holidays is but a twinkling memory. Oh Autumn how I love you!

An Autumn bouquet created from freshly fallen leaves, a bit of floral wire and some whimsy.
Another view of it. I actually created this bouquet last Autumn and it’s held up wonderfully.
